Aurora Environmental LLC was formed in 2013 by John Pusztay. John has been in the field of environmental remediation since 1992 and has been involved in every aspect of remediation projects, from both a contracting and consulting point of view. John has managed literally thousands of successful projects while maintaining an excellent record for safety and regulatory compliance.

How SCORE helped.

John visited SCORE in early 2013 with his plan and goals looking for advice. Working with his SCORE mentor, John was successfully able to start Aurora Environmental LLC. His desire to succeed and his expertise in his field were the key components that allowed John to progress. One of the important ingredients that was needed for continued business success was a solid sales and marketing plan. John, with some help from SCORE, was able to put together a forward-looking working plan which provided the parameters for getting initial sales and keeping the ball rolling once in motion.

Aurora Environmental is coming up on the anniversary of its first year in business. It has been a whirlwind experience for John, and he has really taken off. John has been able to use his reputation, sales ability, and work ethic to form some partnerships with some of WNY’s leading architectural / engineering firms and be involved in some of the major downtown development projects as well. His third quarter sales showed 550% growth over the second quarter. The fourth quarter is shaping up to be his strongest yet. He has a good backlog going into the New Year showing sustained and steady growth. John is looking to bring on additional employees and is looking forward to continued expansion in 2014.  

John has been involved in a variety of exciting projects this year. He has assisted Trautman Associates and the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus, Inc. with the expansion of the Medical Campus Innovation Center, and the renovation of the former Smartpill Building. He is working with the Towns of Cheektowaga and Tonawanda to assist them in removing distressed residential structures. Nussbaumer & Clark, Inc. has utilized John’s services in planning upcoming roof replacement and renovation projects at numerous community centers throughout the City of Buffalo. The Springville Center for the Arts, Inc., and Jay Braymiller Architect reached out to John for assistance with their Arts Café project as well as the renovation of their theater located at 37 N Buffalo Street in Springville.
